May 16, 17, & 18, 2008
At the State Park (the beach) in Grand Haven, MI This festival is FREE to attend, though there is a charge to park inside the State Park.
- Main Demonstration Field with incredible kite ballets – Performances running All Day Every Day
- Family Fun Tent – Filled with Arts, Crafts and Games to entertain the kids and raise money for the Children’s Leukemia Foundation
- Moonwalk and Inflatable Obstacle Course – Test your skill as you race through the course, or just bounce around for a while
- Manufacturers’ Test Fields – Test fly the latest and greatest from some of the best names in kiting, including Prism, and Revolution; also be sure to stop by the kiteboarding fields with Naish and Cabrinha.
- Giant Kites – check out the Giant Octopus and Trilobite kites, over 90 feet long.
- Indoor Fly – Head to White Pines Middle School Friday night to watch as some of the best performers compete for your applause in the Indoor Fly. Yes, that’s right, indoor kite flying…
- Night Fly – Come back out Saturday night to watch us light up the sky as illuminated kites dance through the air.
- Fighter Kite Competiton – Resembling a flying game of tag, competitors attack each other’s kites to rack up the highest number of points.
- Open Flying Field – An open area where everyone has the ability to help us decorate the sky with their own kites.
- Free Kite Seminars – A great chance for anyone to get tips and advice from the pros.
