Howdy, and welcome to the club!
I don't know if we have many members in your area yet. If you can, try to come to some of the upcoming festivals. We'd love to meet you in person.
I see from your profile that you like Gomberg's stuff. We have some Gomberg kite fliers in the club and some who fly the really big Gomberg stuff.
Maybe we'll see you in Pontiac or DeKalb?

Welcome, we live in Wataga,il and make trips to the citys on a regular bases. We lived in Davenport back in the late 70's. Up to a few years ago we flew at the school out on northwest blvd, but the club we had going drifted apart. perhaps we can get together and fly sometime. Check out my web site for pictures of a few of our kites. www.ourkitesfly.com

Welcome James,

I too might be said to be hooked on Gomberg. My sponsorship deal officially calls me a Gomberg Associate (GomAss for short).

Hope to see you on the field soon.

Thanks everyone! I must also admit that I have been bitten by the making bug.
So much rip stop so little time.

Since I said hello about a year ago I have put together just a couple things with several projects waiting to be started. Here is what I have done so far.
8' bol - the rwb with stars. didn’t get the seams just so and it ripped in a couple spots on the second time out.
150' rainbow diamond tail. Have the last 15' to finish up.
12' spike ball tails. Pieces cut for ball. trying to figure out the darn spikes.

here is my list of wanting to dos
a few Roks, spiky ball fish, Ciro, Catherine’s wheel or two, pan flute, sled, and pilot flow form... List keeps growing.

It's a good thing there isn’t a store close by :) -James

Wow! You have been busy!
I've made a few Roks, an 8' spiky ball, Catherine’s wheel, pan flute, sled, and pilot flow form myself.

If you haven't heard of MAKR, check this out:

That would be great if you can make MAKR, with it being its 20th yr and all. Plus a bunch of us IKE members are talking about going too. Myself included, last year was my first time, what a HOOT!! Dont for get to get picture of the stuff you finish up in the album, or under finished projects.
