OK, Now I Will Have To Think Of Something To Say

Postby TheBigKiteGuy » Tue, Dec 05 2006, 08:53 PM

When I commented to Dave that the club had appeared to have more of a sport kite focus, both to myself and another single line flier who had looked around about a week ago, I was planning on suggesting that a single line forum be added. Apparently, Dave suggested the show kite forum, and now I will have to think of something of general interest to post.

Seriously, if this club wants to have a sport kite focus things are fine the way they are. If you want single line fliers and kitemakers to join, there needs to be a singe line forum.

We do have a sewing forum for the kite makers and it has had activity.
How about if we change this forum from Show Kites to Single Line Kites?
That would take some of the pressure off you :-D

No, Dave didn't suggest a specific name. But, since there seems to be so many different categories of SLK's and the interest for a more specific forum was from a show kite guy, I named it that.

Here's what I think we should do, I'll rename it Single Line Kite. As posts get put in there, if something specific get's a lot of traffic, I break it off into a sub forum. How's that sound?

Sound good.
We could also add forums for line laundry and maybe one for fighters. Though the fighter forums at the fighter kite sites don't get much activity. So never mind about that one.

I believe there's more single line flyers here then multi. I'm glad to see a single line forum.

I know something you could talk about...

I know what the individual fliers do and deal with (for the most part) when they fly, but I have virtually no idea what you go through Al, in terms of equipment, setup, tear down, etc... I am very interested in knowing more about your contribution to the kite industry...

Can you fill us in?

I'm also happy to see a SLK forum. I also like to read the duel and quads input. I just remember doing a lot of multi line flying then I became so good at it I found that I was able to fly with just one line...........

Thanks Banshee, we've appreciated your contributions.
Looking forward to meeting you in person and a club fly or festival.
