Hello There

Postby linekahuna » Sun, Dec 28 2008, 11:45 AM

Hello from the west coast of Canada. :mrviolet:
Have been flying kites since 1989 and have over 100 kites, single, dual and quad kites. :loveit:
I'm 57 years young.
My specialty in the kite field is making lines.

Jim,

It's great to see you on the IKE forum. Welcome.

Now that you're here and specifically mentioned line making as one of your skills, maybe you'd care to tell us how you go about making a quad line set ... from what kind of sleeving and lines to how you stretch them, make them even, etc.

I helped my son make two line sets - 80' and 120' - yesterday and picked up a couple of more ideas to make the process go faster and be more accurate.

Cheers,
Tom

Hey there linkahuna!
Nice to see you here. You've had a bit of snow up your way, right?

Hi, guys.

Yes, we've had a good 24" of snow in the last week and another 3" this morning.
Ninety miles south of here in Victoria the winds are gusting to 60 knots, good
wind for a 4' Flexifoil.

Yep, have been making lines a long time.
Will add something later.

Oops. Some of you misspelled my handle.

Jim.
