Jim And Lynn On YouTube

Postby Jim Foster » Tue, Nov 11 2008, 10:01 PM

A member of the San Diego Kite Club just gave us a video of our pairs ballet taken at WSIKF last August.
She was not standing behind us, so the kite on the right (Me) looks higher than the kite on the left (Lynn), when we are actually at the same height.

The other thing is, our CD would not play on their player, so I chose music they had on the sound table. As it turned out, we have heard this song before (Ron Despojado and Susan Shampo, "Desposhampo" fly to it) but we had never flown to it before, nor will we use it in the future as we are not in the habit of flying to other people's music.

So, it was almost like a "Mystery Ballet".

We hope you enjoy this never to be done again pairs ballet.

Jim, you and Lynn did a very nice job to that song. 8)

I really liked the spot where the both of you touch leading edges and then do the 180s going away from one another. Also the lead edge kiss with the downward slide was really a very fitting finish to the song.
Job well done.
May Ol Ma Nature never hold her
breath on you.

Great job guys!
I echo what Ken said. I also liked the lead-in to those moves--the stall wrap and dosie-do.
And you guys nailed that kiss to landing.

My son has shown an interest in flying revs and I've had him out flying twice now. The last time he told me that "it isn't as easy as it looks" and "I have a better appreciation for the flyng I see in the videos." I second both of his comments.

You guys were great! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Cheers,
Tom
