Hello, I'm glad I found this site... I have been flying kites for a couple years, I have a HQ Beamer II 3.6, a PKD Buster 1.4, and I just bought a Flexifoil buggy that I'm looking forward to taking out for a spin. I live in Chicago, and I usually fly up at Horner Park or the Montrose/Wilson lakefront area. I haven't met any other quad line fliers around, tho I have met a few people flying dual line stunt kites here and there. Doesn't seem to be many quad line power kiters around here except for the kitesurfers I see at Montrose beach - which is another thing I'd like to try one of these days. Anyone out there fly or buggy around Chicago, have any tips on locations or newbie tips for the buggy so I don't get myself in trouble?
I took my 1.4 out this morning, I think it was 20 gusting to 30 and it ripped out of my hands. Ya gotta respect the wind!
Rob
