Lots Of Suburban Kite Events On April 12

I hesitate to call these festivals, they are small events, but still I thought it worthwhile to mention them.

All on Saturday, April 12.

Help us celebrate National Kite Flying month and the arrival of spring! You may bring your own kite or choose to purchase a kite craft kit on-site. A kite contest will take place. Categories may include: biggest kite, smallest kite, highest flying kit, most unusual kite, and more. Pre-registration is necessary for competing kit fliers. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Information on the Illinois Park District Youth License Plate will also be available. Event is FREE (kite craft kits available for purchase on-site).

Pavilion Field
Join us at our first annual kite flying event and you will have the chance to spend quality time with your family while participating in this classic activity. Participants will also be entered in a raffle and have the chance to win some great prizes. This event is held in conjunction with the Elk Grove Park District Family Health and Wellness Fair to make it easy for families to attend both events. This is a free event, but we ask that you pre-register so we can properly accomodate the attendance. Also, please be sure to bring your own kite to fly.
