Tough choice my foot!

Have a great time Al, and do tell us all about it when you get back.

Donna! Yea! Glad your onboard!

Off to triple checkt the patch supply that's nestled in my sewing case - which I won't need - but just can't NOT take to MAKR.

Home. Exhausted.

Another great year. Silk banners were a day and then some of groovy girl stuff. Textiles, painting, laundry, and ironing. The silk banner I was ready to rip to shreds in frustration the afternoon before, turned out to be one of my favorite pieces from the weekend. Sunday, I found I can still kick some major boy-butt building with measuring devices, sharp implements, and power tools. In between the yin/yang of those classes, a simple little kite and entertainment.

The only piece I didn't finish was the aeolian. I want to put a little more creativity into that before calling it good.

The 7sis panels that are done got some meaningful compliments this year, and I'm looking forward to propping the finished kite up in the dining room window (some year. )

As always the greatest part was the kitebuilders.

Did you finish the FanBan there or at home? When we got home, I couldn't even look at my sewing machine!

With Drafty's and my aeolians and banners made by Drafty, Frodos, JJ, infl8able and myself, we're likely to have some loud festivals this year!

Once again, MAKR was an awesome experience and after a little down time, I'll be looking forward to this weekend's after MAKR party to finish (yeah, right) all my projects.

Yes I finished my banner at about late saturday evening/sunday morning. It was around 1:30ish when I was wrapping it up. Linda Larkey was a real trooper to hang out with me till the end, for I was the last one in the class room. But it was done when I went to bed that morning.

Still need a few more days of rest, went to the doctors yesterday, to find out I have a bronchial infection. Once my head is back on straight, I will do a FULL run down of the past weekends!!

Yes after almost a full week I am much better now.

As far as the MAKR weekend goes it was a good time. The boomerang class on friday night was quite interesting, not a bad turn out either. Cannot wait to get out and try out my boomerang and see how it flies.

The aeolians that the bunch of us from the club have made. We will have a nice sound garden to calm the nerves before demos are done. Should be interesting to see just how everybody finishes their boxes up.

I loved the fandango banner class Linda Larkey taught, she was very helpful with anybody who was having any trouble through the whole project. The way she does her seams are a french felt seam. I had so much fun with the first banner, I had to buy an extra one from her. The one I made in class was done in club colors and the second I purchased is in blue/white/black. Again with all the club members taking the banner classes we should have a nice ground display going on too.

The two classes that I did not get to finish were the Skyak and the Star Constellation. Hopefully I will have them both done before too long.

It was really great seeing a lot of faces that have been hiding out till the summer winds start blowing, which now that MAKR has come and gone for another year, those winds wont be far behind!!!

Banshee I think you NEED another FIFTY LASHES to fully understand the Cat-O-Nine Tail.
