IKE logo Kite Bags

Postby Mike » Tue, Feb 19 2008, 10:46 PM

Would you like an IKE logo kite bag?
David Shenkman, our host at Kite Party has already made up some Rev-sized kite bags in red with a black pocket. They aren't roll-up bags, but are zippered bags like the one I already use, if you've seen that. They are nicely made, quality bags.

I personally don't care for roll-up bags. I like to be able to grab a kite without having to unroll the whole bag and roll-up bags are much, much bigger when they are rolled up compared to a standard bag.

Anyway...
The bags he had made are 6" in diameter, but I want a bigger 8" diameter bag. If we get enough IKE folks to buy a bag we can have the bags embroidered with our IKE logo. He figures about $45 for the 6" x 42" (?) bag. The price would be higher for an 8" bag.

We need to have a dozen or so people buy a bag to make it worth the setup fee for emboidery.
I plan on buying two myself. I like to have an "A" bag and a "B" bag with kite I don't fly quite as often.

SO, who would like a bag? If you are at all interested, it would be helpful to know by Saturday. I can post a photo Thursday or Friday.

I'll take one of the bigger bags.

How many Revs will fit?

Draftnik, I remembered that after I posted but I haven't been able to get back on to the internet until now.
I think we should sew patches on and forget the embroidery on the bags.

So, the new question is who wants a red bag with a black pocket?

Hey Guys, here's the final lowdown on the kite bags.
The guy making them up goofed, so they are all red with a red pocket.
But that also means that they sell for $25. (no embroidery)

Mike S. stuck 12 Revs in the 6" bag, it was snug, but it works.
They're a nice codura, waterproof bag with a double zipper on top and one big pocket on the outside.
If anyone wants one, I can pick one up and bring it back with me and you can pay me when you see me.

Post here tonight, or even better call me if you have my cell phone number.

Put me down for a 6" bag.

:thanks:
It's a great satisfaction knowing that for a brief point in time you made a difference.
