If I remember right, we were back on the beach and flying within a couple hours. No more rain for the rest of the day.
And I had brought a box of doughnuts to pass the time :-D
Oh yeah, we also went to Chilese's room and played a board game until the rain stopped.

I'll fly in rain...

A strange and complex board game.

Having a bit of weather is always welcome. We're in California, a State of constant drought.

It was a fun day.

I have a buddy (Dan Dalton) who's into board games and was jealous when he heard what we played. It was a game he wanted to try.
I think it was called Power Grid.

Speaking of Dan: come out, come out, wherever you are!

I do believe it was Power Grid. Kinda like a take on Monopoly with a whole lot of extra rules.

Seems like we have to get soaked at least once at KP.

Wanted

Anyone going to Kite Party have an old, 1/2" SLE leading edge they are no longer using? Need it for a little project I'm working on.

Not sure how much they are worth but I could pay you at Huntington Beach.

If anyone can help out please PM me.

Thanks

K.P. friday night dinner

Postby Frodos Majik » Sat, Feb 16 2008, 10:04 AM

Hey Gang,
COACH, the owner of Coach's, needs a very close head count for dinner on Friday night. With so many people expected, it is going to be a set menu. The meal will be Chicken, Rice, Gyro, and a small salad. The cost is $12.00/person, gratuity NOT included. This is his lunch price, but he's extending it for dinner. Here is what I need, and please ONLY reply if you ARE in fact coming, and tell me how many. ALSO, if you need a special meal (vegetarian, etc), post that HERE! He needs the exact count by Wednesday. Thank you very much!
Dave

If anyone is going to Fridays dinner, YOU NEED TO POST THERE, not here

Count me in... I'll be there alone Friday night. Lobster tail will do it for me.

IKE, the Red Baron Triplane was testing the winds at Huntington Beach today, and it showed a bit rust in the wings and the landing wheels needed some grease, but it's ready to fly next weekend.
It will be sunny with good winds.
We will have a nice weekend for the 22nd., 23rd. and 24th.
I will declare myself sick for friday.

Hi Guys,
I'll be on the beach tomorrow for the first time since I've been out here. I gotta get some practice time in warm weather.
Ken, you must be really excited for your first flight. You'll love it. I still think it's an amazing thing to fly over the rockies.
See ya soon,
Mike
