That's gonna be so much fun. iQuad is still a maybe for Kite Party, but I was just looking at the membership page at iQuad (for reasons I'll leave you to figure out). Look at all the IKE guys that are Honorary Members! That is so cool! IKE rocks!

Thanks Isaac, I'm pretty jazzed.
Sorry Lynn; I meant "guys" in the all-gender inclusive sort of way.

Mike

I know, I was just pulling your chain a little.
You haven't seen Lynn fly for nearly a year. She has become very good, and a joy to fly with.
Yes, I'm truly a lucky guy.

Lynn is a joy even when she's not flying a kite. It should be extra fun on my visit this year.

Dave Shenkman is talking about a different hotel over on GWTW:

You don't have to stay at that hotel no matter what. Nothing much happens at the hotel anyway.
But if you want to weigh in with an opinion, pop on over.

I am considering, and hoping...

I just accepted a new job that I start January 2.

If I can get the time, I'll come.

I want to go soooo badly.

A heads up for those of us flying with kites for the first time. Check your local golf shops they may have travel cases for rent. One in my area will rent them for $15 a week. Thats a whole lot cheaper then having to buy or making one out of PVC.

Just got my ticket. Coming out 2/21 - 2/25. Staying with a friend who lives close to there.

Is there a schedule of events?

I love the idea of a golf bag carrier! Personally I'd like to carry them on with me including the Addiction which has yet to be flown. Are they allowed as carry on's? I'd cry if they got lost and 1 out of 100 bags they say are lost these days/

Permission for time off....

APPROVED!!!

Now I just have to make sure Susan can get coverage for her clients, and find out whether her aunt will be putting us up for part of the time, at least.

There aren't really any events. It's not billed as a festival, it's a party. It's largely a gathering of fliers from around the country who come to play. A couple areas are roped off on the beach and you just fly all day. Dave Shenkman does provide a sound system with music and there may be a demo or two in the middle of day.
There is a pizza party and auction on Saturday night.
That's pretty much it.

I've carried Revs on. I don't know if the Addiction would fit in the overhead compartment.
