Local Fun Fly In Vegas

Postby awindofchange » Mon, Oct 22 2007, 01:49 PM

So, we put away our stunt kites and power kites yesterday for a day of single line flying. A bunch of us got together and launched up some of our larger single line kites. We even had a small Rok Battle brought about by some gusty winds. Morning was pretty discouraging with winds gusting up to 25-30 mph. Later in the afternoon the wind calmed down to a beautiful steady 12-18 mph and the larger kites were able to come out.

Here is a link to some of the pictures from the day. Everyone had a fantastic time and we had people stopping all day long to come look at the kites. We even had a family that rushed out and bought a couple of those cheapie bulk store kites to come fly with us. We also had some people from the nearby soccer game comment that it was tough to pay attention to the game with all those kites in the air. It was a great time.

Here's the link. Hopefully we will have more to follow soon when Chilese gets his pictures uploaded.

Nice! I see that even though it was a single line event, your new Rev made it out. Sure is a good looking kite.
We will have to have an IKE trip to fly in Vegas someday.

that sounds reasonable. a plane trip!

If you can really find flights for that price, we should actually do this. It would be a blast.

It sure would be great to have you guys out here. Right now the rates are really cheap due to the off-season. Just tell me when your gonna arrive and I will pick you up at the airport. :)

Thanks for the comments. We had a great time.
