Meeting Nice People.

Postby Hector Herrera » Sun, Oct 21 2007, 10:10 AM

Meeting some of the nicest people in kiting has been one of the most satisfying facts of kite flying, not only personally but also trough the internet, I have stories to tell about some really nice people I have met, and the first one is Mike Kory, as some of you may well know, I met In Huntington Beach at the Kite Party. And of course my friends at the Illinois Kite Enthusiast, Club, who are the best. I'll tell you about one special person in a near future.

Meeting nice people... Well, many of you, if not a few of you have heard the name GUSTAVO DI SI... yes, the person from Argentina, who translated the official Revolution Manual, into the Spanish language; He and I, have been exchanging E-mail ever since the manual came trough, thanks to Mike Kory, the creator of the original English manual. Gustavo and I have gained a fond of each other trough our kiting experiences, and we have also exchanged other things, there is one very special, that I would like to share with you about. Gustavo sent me a CD of Argentinian music, played by "Los Charchaleros" , a CD of his kite flying, and a Pin with his "El Alma del Piloto" logo, I could only sent him some ripstop material, I wish I could do better,...but ...Just a few weeks ago, Gustavo and his friends sent me AN INDOOR DUAL KITE, as a present of frienship!!! wow...this kite, THE Y2, was designed by Gabriel Acosta, an university student, and kite designer, and it was constructed by Roberto Casanello, member of the BaToCo kite club of Argentina; and the kite dedicated to your humble friend Hector Herrera. I am glad that somehow I am a member of the kiting comunity, .........
"FOR IT IS TRUE, THAT I, HAVE MET, REAL NICE PEOPLE"
