I also like the new look of the control panel, and home page. Very user friendly!
It's a great satisfaction knowing that for a brief point in time you made a difference.

all the new features are an improvement, thanks babbman. Well, with the exception of the "similar topics". I haven't found it useful and think it might be marginally confusing to newbies. What do the rest of you think?

Thanks Mike...

As for the similar topics, I use forums for a large part of my work and pleasure and I have always found similar topics to be a great boon to my ability to find things I really need since there are times when I am not sure what key words to use... In fact, virtually all of the additional mods for our forums were found by looking at the similar topics section of phpbb support board topics...

I think that over time, as the number of posts increase, it will help expose other topics that will be helpful and allow people to see things they might not have normally looked for...

Chris, I must agree with you on sim topics. I spend alot of time in car forums, mostely early type II vintage VW busses, but when you're looking for a how to, or spare part the sim topic is a really helpful tool.

You've been busy Babbman, very cool and user friendly to boot.
(I meant the feature was cool and user friendly. Well actually, you are too, so I guess I mean both feature and you :-D )

As long as your playing, something on my wish list would be a way to see all the posts from the last hour, 2 hours, etc.
Kitebuilder.com has a drop-down its on the main forum page.

If theres a large number of new posts and I don't read them all in one sitting, they are no longer listed as new next time I log-on. This feature would help with that.

I just noticed the "recent topics". Doh.
That's pretty close to what I was looking for. Has that always been there?

thanks Mike...

Well I'll be... kitebuilder is using phpbb so that mod HAS to be here somewhere... I'll find it and implement it. I can't believe it's not already in here..
