Consignment Stuff

Postby TheBigKiteGuy » Mon, Jul 23 2007, 05:41 PM

Hi!

Some of you know that I carry a very small amount of consignment gear around with me. As the season winds
down I will be getting ready to send it back where it will end up on the Gomberg Factory Outlet page at most 20%
off.

This year I have the Midsize Caterpillar, a Yellow Shark and will soon have two Spikey Birds.

If you are interested in any of these items, the next few festivals will be your chance to get them at 20% off with no shipping.

The Caterpillar lists at $1,400 so it would be $1120, Sharkey is $350 so it would be $280 and the spikey birds are
discounted to $60 each. No better deals than the factory outlet, but you get to see the piece and save the price of
shipping.

OK, that was my one commercial post until this time next year.

I need to work at getting one of the brand new Opera Mask kites on consignment, and then forget to try and sell it.

Al,

What is the actual size of the Caterpillar if you happen to know. Also, what does this kite need to inflate/launch. Does it actually fly or is it a ground bouncer?

Thanks.

I love everything that Al has, but the caterpillar is my favorite... looks great and is a mind trip when you climb inside of it.

It's 10 x 50 feet. It looks huge out on the field.

It is a ground bouncer and inflates in light winds (exactly how light I don;t know as I have
not seen my wind meter in years). The caterpillar has found a new home, however it still
will probably be in Dekalb. Hopefully I will have a replacement soon.

Well rats. Thought of adding that bug to my collection. Ah well, that new PL Crab is looking better each day.

I saw the Crab at Grand Haven. It was extremely cool. I loved the way the claws moved.

I have heard that Jack Rogers is selling off some of his large kites and display items. There is a person here, without computer access, that would like to get in contact with Jack Rogers to make an offer, or two.

So, do you know of any contact info for Jack Rogers? If so, please let me know via private message, or email, so I can pass it along.

:thanks:
