AKA Elections

Postby Mike » Mon, Aug 27 2007, 03:36 PM

First of all, I hope all of you reading this are members of the AKA.
We get cheap insurance through the AKA for all our club flies and it's makes it possible for festivals like Pontiac to get cheap insurance and it allows them to put on a festival. The AKA is our voice to promote kiting and the festivals and competitions. You even get a nice glossy magazine 4 times a year.
Oh yeah, you also get a 10% discount at most of the major kite retailers too!

If you're not a member, click on the link at the top of this page.

-----

If you are a member, log into the AKA forum and under the Members Only section there is a questionnaire that has been filled out by each of the presidential candidates. Our own member, Al, TheBigKiteGuy wrote the questions and organized this.

I'm having trouble getting into that section myself, but I hear it's very helpful. :oops: I've sent an email to the admin and hope to have access soon. :-D

I never heard back from the admin. If anyone else has access to the forum Q&A, maybe you could post it here?

Odd, Chuck is usually very good about responding, he must be traveling. That's the poblem with these volnteers, they think they should have a life. :twisted:

It was already posted at Gone with the Wind, so I suppose I won't hear too much from the bylaws fanatics.

First the challenger, Gary Engvall:

================================================================

1) Why do you want to be President?

First and foremost, I think every AKA Member has a right to say “What has the AKA done for me lately?â€
