In all seriousness, some of the reasons that Jenny allows me to indulge in this sport is that since I've been doing this, I lost 2 inches off my waistline, 10 lbs of fat, got in shape and got a deep dark farmers tan...

Yeah, well, since we don't have cable, there's nothing on TV and I have to be productive in some other way. :-)

Nicely done Mike. In addition to flying :revspin: 's I also use power foils, and sometimes it's hard to get out of bed the next day!

A big welcome to you from me as well. All the way from Tennesee!
We'll have to find a regional festival (or make one of our own) so we can meet our far flung members!

Thanks guys, I drive 18 wheeler, so Tennessee is just an address to recieve junk mail  . I do quite a bit of driving in IL, and fly every chance I get, I retired my radio controlled aircraft hobby a couple years ago, this is much more practicle, and I spend more time in the air!

I hear you Denver, did the same with my RC Helicopters. It does not hurt quite as much, when hitting the ground with the kites.

Ken, it still hurts me just as much, just not quite as expensive.

Oh yeah, I'm talking about my pride, not the falling out of the air after launching yourself hurt.

Yes it does... :(

It hurts my pride especially when someone comes along and is watching you intently as you slam your Rev into the ground.... but when I know that's going to happen, I make sure I hit hard enough to bounce back up... that way, I almost looks like I did it intentionally...

Boy I now know what its like to be on the receiving end of a reporter doing a story and having things taken out of content. The quote that I am referring to is

What I meant was thew pocket book, not the pride. Of course it hurts the pride. When crashing the heli's it definitely hurt the pocket book in a BIG way.

Oh yeah, I wasted 2 Funtanna's in a row! One working on low alpha harrier technique, with not quite enough oomph, and the other due to bumping a preset "snaproll" switch on landing aproach while I was trimming flaparons.

Since this topic is about :flex: :weight: I'll just say that It's much more labor per flight hour rigging swashplates than setting up fixedwing controls, and that's where the real stress begins. (5 years in the :sailor: as a rotory wing structures/hydraulics tech)

I digress so easily...
