Babbman's Rev Collection

Postby Babbman » Sat, Jun 09 2007, 07:31 PM

no wind today... bored out of my mind... so I put together a Deca Synergy 6

[albumimg]990[/albumimg]

And I emptied out my Rev kite bags to get some pictures...

I was appalled...

[albumimg]989[/albumimg]

From right to left:

Power Blast 2-4
Blast
Shockwave
Vented Supersonic
Rev 1
1.5 SLE
1.5 Vented
1.5 SUL
1.5 B-Series Vented
1.5 B Series

The Indor isn't in the picture...

That makes 11 + 2 Rev Kite Bags.

All I am really missing is a Rev II!

I wonder if I could do a speed Series Stack? Power Blast/Blast/Shockwave?

we could have an awful lot of fun Hector... although you would HATE our winds....

But... My wife will only let me have one other 'woman' at a time and Chris already has that distinction... :rotfl

I am terribly sorry to hear that, ...or I may be missunderstanding something.

Chris and I spend a lot of time together flying and on the phone talking about flying. So much so that our wives tend to refer to us as 'the other woman'.

My collection isn't quite as extensive as Babbman's, (yet)....
It's a great satisfaction knowing that for a brief point in time you made a difference.

trying to upstage me by putting your indoor up there, eh?

After pulling out and setting up all my Revs, I didn't have the energy to pull out the indoor...lol

Chris and I were talking yesterday and thought that a montage of ALL the clubs Revs would be a fun picture to see and to send over to Rev..

What ya think?

Babbman...!!! About that: Deca Synergy 6 Did you make this one? it seems like a very complex design, and is it for indoor or outdoors? does it flyies and do everything a Revo. do? that's a very interesting kite, very pretty. Is it expensive?

The Deca was a gift... a VERY much appreciated gift.

They run in the $250 range but are difficult to get as the company seems to be in and out of bankruptcy

http://www.guildworks.com/products-decas.htm

It is a real work of art and a sight to behold. It functions similar to a Rev but different.

This is the UL version and should fly in light winds. We had it up in Naperville in light winds on short lines.

I've been SO into my Rev lately that I find it difficult to find time to fly anything else right now.

I've got another question for you and Chriss...both of you have the indoor revo. kite
what is the weight of the spars on that kite?
Are they close to the P200 P100 or maybe less?
in ounces or grams how much do they weight individually?
Can anyone tell me?

Don't know the weight but these spars are smaller in diameter than the standard rods. The kite weighs next to nothing.

I think you would be closer with the P90 rods although they still wouldn't be as light and as strong as the Rev rods. The Rev indoor rods are very skinny, smaller diameter than the P-series rods by about half. They are smaller than the standard 1/4" rod supplied with the 1.5 and EXP.

Babbman, I guess you are a good candidate to answer this question, that I have read in Spanish forums, and the question is: what is the difference between a Barresi series versus a regular revs., Some people would like to buy a Barresi, but this question arises, Can you answer it? I would like to help some Spaniard by translating your answer.
Thanks
