*Weights! On Rev's...Nahhh*

Postby Hector Herrera » Tue, May 29 2007, 11:16 AM

It was a veeery loong time ago when you couldn't even think about it... :rotfl
DO YOU REMEMBER?...

Hector: I have seen weights on Dual kites but never heard of them on a Quad!
Can some one please explain this fenomena to me?.-

Mike: Ha Ha Hector,
yeah, you'll have to go over the dual section to talk about that kind of weights they add for doing tricks. Here we are concerned about weight so that our kites can fly well in light winds.

Chris: Oh yeah, I forgot they add weights to dual lines now

ZippyD:
"They"!?
Hmmmp!

Mike: oh you dualies are so touchy!

And...7 thousand years later...
This upgraded version of the standard 1.5, weight system, fully adjustable handles, bla, bla,bla...

Man...times have changed...at a slow pace but, they have. :P

Well Hector,
the Rev B-Series kites have weights, but I haven't seen or heard of anyone using them. I haven't even seen John Barresi use them!
Maybe you will be the first to really use them.

Hmmm...that's okay with me, I think the idea of weights is good, and I am into preparing or testing some other things, besides the weights. I just would like to make the Revo. fly better. For an extremely fine machine it could be better.
You know me, kind of crazy maybe. :| and who knows, I may come up with something different ???
Oil well. thanks for responding Mike. I am gonna miss Naperville and all the fun you guys are having. :(

Since the B Series is being brought up...

there is something about this kite... something other than just the looks. This thing just plain flies better. It's more responsive. It floats better (but not as floaty as the Blast) and feels great in the air.

As for the weights... I haven't used them and don't know if I will... I'm still learning to fly and maybe the weights will be good once I start doing some slack line tricks... that's a while off though..

At Grand Haven, i saw John Barresi doing axels with a quad... and Lam Hoac doing flic-flacs. It was pretty cool!

Zach can do 540s with a quad. He even did it in his routine at nationals.
