Hello .... New To The Group

Postby BlueDog » Sat, Apr 21 2007, 02:03 PM

Just thought I would post something to introduce myself a little bit. My wife met a few members at a kit fly in Oswego today so I figured I would sign on.

Been flying the same old kites for several years. Although I have several I really only fly two .... the North Shore and the Rev. Just sort of depends on the wind level.

A long time ago I used to manage a kite and wind surfing store in Iowa. That is where I got into kite flying and picked up most of my kites. Since then I just fly on a casual basis and will sometimes take the kites with me on vacations.

Will be nice to meet a few new people and hopefully make it to a few kite flies.

Hi Blue Wolf,

It was nice to meet your wife today. My husband and I are also Iowa transplants. I'm glad to see you've found your way here. I suspect most everyone is still out flying right now. This being the first good weather we've had to fly in, makes it hard to leave the field! Oswego did a great job!

If you've not found it already, take a look at this thread for a listing of upcoming area festivals. http://www.ikeclub.org/Forums/viewtopic.php?t=463

Welcome! We're looking foward to seeing/meeting you and your family again.
TTFN,

It's a great satisfaction knowing that for a brief point in time you made a difference.

Welcome aboard Blue Dog.

Looking forward to meeting and flying with you also! Was not surprised to see you posting already after talking with your wife out at the field today. The way she was talking, it sounded like you would be blown away to hear that there were others out there like yourself.

ditto what Chris said... I'm the other flier in Aurora... always happy to hear of another in the area!

I believe a North Shore is a dual?! :-)

Diversity is a good thing.
