Howdy!

Postby Drachenschwanz » Fri, Mar 23 2007, 10:30 AM

Hi folks,
Another Illinois Kiteaholoic here. We're in Sycamore, we live near Drafty (I like that). She's been asking us to officially sign up for a while now and I finally got around to it. Chris and Jim got us hooked on Kites when we joined them for a camping/kiting weekend at Mots a couple of years ago. We've been great friends since my family moved to Sycamore 6 years ago from Lombard.

Since then we've been to many festivals, although we missed last year's Sycamore fest. How sad is that? I'm looking forward to being there this year and showing off the Mallard I built at MAKR earlier this month. Wow, what a trip that was!

Let's see...anything else of interest?......I like model trains, my wife sews like a maniac and our daughter sits in the cabana at kite festivals with Chris's kids and asks if she can go buy stuff. Sigh.

I guess that's about it for now. Looking forward to a windy kite season (you know, April thru February, need at least one month off for repairs and building) and meeting all the Kite people in the area we haven't met yet!

Rick

It's a great satisfaction knowing that for a brief point in time you made a difference.

No I didn't notice the Rok. All those rainbow kites look good together.

Don't know, that I know any Cohrs, Babbman.

The first fly we'll be at together is Sycamore?? That's actually coming up here pretty quick!
