They do make skateboards, I dunno about bike stuff.
Good guesses, but still not it.

I'll give you a hint. It's not a 30 foot long propeller shaft that they make for the Navy.
Ok, that's not a hint at all. I just wanted to tell about something else they make.

My guess is that it is a carbon tube. It might be aimed at the kite surfing market.

In his right hand is a ferrule, maybe carbon, for a Super Blast 4-8.
In his left hand is a stainless ferrule for the early REV I and II's from about the era 1989-1992.
