I don't see what's missing Hector. I see you're flying in Huntington Beach today though.
I bet this kite will get it's photo taken a lot at Kite Party. It looks great, I can't wait to try it myself.

Next thing to do...is to start practicing with TDStk. Me and my family went for some fun at Huntington
Beach, CA. and passed by Dave's store, I bought some SLE's leading edges, that I might set on IKE TRB. Or maybe on my Space Stations.
Okay, that's my report from Southern California
Hector Herrera.
(man, the temperature today was 81)

Frodos Majik is the winner!!!Yeah....
no neck and no wings supports are missing. instead of the neck is actually missing his SCARFE.
And Babbman, I used Mylar for the transparency, unfortunatly or maybe fortunatly I asked for the .007" thickeness, and I feel that is to thick. it flew well but I am only using the 4 wrap leading edge, I may have to change it to the SLE I just bought from Kite Connection. Dunno yet.

Very cool quad Hector...I think you need to make a flying dog house to go along with the Snoopy theme.
It's a great satisfaction knowing that for a brief point in time you made a difference.

Chris!!!
It's unbelievable!!! I tought the same thing. HONEST.
When I was in the process of making my Octagon I was thinking of a tradicional kite with a modern theme, and more like an American theme, and since I allready have the Dog and his flying machine it would be kind of nice to have him on his house!!! I told my wife I would name the theme of the dog on his house "FAITH, MAKES DREAMS COME TRUE" since the dog is just making a fantasy of his toughts.
[smiley smilie=5 fontcolor=000000 shadowcolor=000000 shieldshadow=1]CHRIS, YOU ARE ALLRIGHT...!!![/smiley]
I may have time to do the Octagon, just like your toughts and mine.
Thanks Chris.

Your new quad is really something. I can't wait to see it in the air at the kite party.

Hector, that funny word is supposed to be anxious. I had Mrs. Hunt for typing in High School. She was a very good teacher, but I was not such a good student. :-)

MIKE FLYING "IKE, THE RED BARON".

Finnaly, Mike arrived in California, and today I had the great pleasure of seeing him along with Jim and his wife Lynn Foster.
It was a very good afternoon, we flew togheter, and It was the first time for me to try and fly in formation with anyone. 8)
To be honest...I think I didn't do too good, Jim was calling the shoots, but I had problems with my kite, and I was not too confortable in the beggining. Anyway, we had fun, I was very happy to be with them and today was a good day. I am looking forward to see them again, and fly togheter.
See this pictures of today Feb. 16, 2007.

Hector's IKE, The Red Baron flew great and was a real hoot to fly.
The spider kite flew like a vented Rev 1 and very cool looking to.

-Hector: can you repost your pictures over here:
http://www.ikeclub.org/Forums/viewtopic ... 4399a#3300

Since there were 3 or 4 IKE members there, it was a club fly and we should post it under club flies.
Maybe you didn't realize it Hector, but you were flying at an official IKE club fly!

Excellent guys (and gals  ) I think this may be the only official club fly this month. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm about done with this winter thing! :(

Babbman and I, and possibly Ken, may get out for a while on the 25th? I have a birthday party on the 24th.

I do know that a certain someone may need a hand flying a rather large rotor, so I'm sure we will be out this Sunday?

that certain someone WILL need a hand just spreading this thing out... I know, it's not big in comparison to some other members kites

But for me, it's my biggest thing yet!

All ready for bridling tomorrow... I hate measuring out bridle line... I think I'll have to make a bridle board for this one... at least I have the right swivel for it!

I am SO jealous, you guys -n- gal look like you're having a blast on that warm white sandy beach. As you all know we have white here too but it sure aint warm and sandy. FAR from it, more like freezing cold and salty!

Have fun and keep the pictures coming, we will be living through them.
