Animated Tricks

Postby Knoted4ever » Wed, Jan 17 2007, 08:51 PM

Here's a nice link to a dual line trick oriented website (from Roy Reed) that has some pretty nice animations of some of the more common tricks. The animations are beneficial, in that they are slow and easy to follow; the disadvantage is that they are not entirely accurate, in the way they depict a kite going through some of the tricks... but at least they give you a rough idea of what is going on.

i agree with Roy, in that i think that the Stall should be in category 1 in terms of difficulty... and that the Coin Toss should be listed as a 2; in fact, i think that maybe the Coin Toss can even be listed as a 3. i think that the 540 Flat Spin should probably be listed as being a 4... as a lot of people have considerable trouble learning that one.

You can also find some really neat animations & video's on the Prism website. You gotta search for them but they are there. A lot of the video's are taken from the Prism Freestyle Pilot DVD.

Another awesome website is Randy G's. He has some very good video's on most of the slack line stuff. His site has taught me quite a few things as well as helping clean up a lot of my um...less desirable looking tricks.

(go to the how-to link on the bottom of the page, then go to "video's or "animations".)

Hope that helps someone out there...it sure helped me a lot.
Happy Winds!
