U-Make 2016

Postby goestoeleven » Sun, Feb 21 2016, 09:41 PM

Well, I should have posted this a long time ago, but I forgot. Coming up this weekend is U-Make 2016. Who is going? I'll be there. I'm taking Barb Meyer's Swallowtail class (Saturday all day), and the Ron Beamguard Barn Door class (Sunday). Have started the sail for the Swallowtail. Need to get started making the double 40 foot tails next . . . . haven't started on the Barn Door sail (having a hard time with ideas).

Wow . . . super quiet on the IKE board.

I had a great time at U-Make. Came home exhausted yesterday from about 20+ hours of kite making (I'm very slow at making), and I think I was almost the last person to leave on Sunday. Made two kites . . . but I still have to finish the tails and make some bags. Learned a bunch. Also won some raffle stuff, including banners and poles (and one kite).

Nice. Hope we get to see them.

Yeah... too quiet here.
