48F in the burbs, wind forecast of 13 dropping to 9 at sunset.
49 in Pontiac.
Wife is working on Saturday.
Hmmm . . . .
But the car needs new brakes, and I need to sew most of at least one sail prior to U-make . . . .

For this kind of weather, put me in too. The world famous adventure dog got a new puffer coat for xmas, so she needs to use it. When & where please....

I am trying to see if any southern people will fly, in which case maybe someplace like Pontiac. Otherwise I'm thinking East side sports complex in the afternoon.

Unfortunately, East Side Sport's Complex is closed for the winter.

Most of the southern (and city) 180Go group are already tied up tomorrow, so it looks like someplace in our area is the best option.
I thought we flew at ESSC last winter (the day we also went to the hangar), but if it's closed I guess we're out of luck. I was thinking that if it was too cold at ESSC I'd go over to the (mostly abandoned) Charlestown mall and fly indoor for a bit.
Do you have another suggestion between Wheaton and St. Charles? My fallback location would be Danada or maybe Graf Park in Wheaton (Danada might be slightly better based on the WSW wind forecast). Another alternative is Busse, but that's a bit more of a trek for all of us, and too cold for Mark these days.
I'm thinking afternoon - maybe 1 or 2 pm for a couple hours (unless we get cold).
BTW . . . wind forecast is now down to 7-8 mph . . . hope it holds

Danada is fine. Or isn't there a park along North Ave that you guys have mentioned? And I'll double check on East Side tomorrow morning.

I was thinking about it, but unfortunately must be at the shop on Saturday. Might fly at Meinecke Park behind the house on Sunday if the weather stays good.

Just checked. ESSC remains closed for the winter. And most of the flags that I observed were hanging straight down. With a forecast for decreasing winds.

I am sliding way behind, would tomorrow be better?

I'm running up against a few things here too. Might be slightly windier tomorrow. Better chance of rain, though. We can decide tomorrow.

I saw the flags hanging down when I was out running errands. Let's scratch for today. Maybe tomorrow.
