I just looked, I have:

Premier Polyester Braided Line on hoop spool
This is the line used by 2003 AKA Rok Battle Champ Jim Cosca!

Maybe Dave could get a bunch of this for the club.
If you're not a serious competitor, (I'm certainly not), you can just tie a knot in the cut line and go at it again.
If you're more serious, you don't want the knot, because someone else can lock in under your knot and use it to hold their line in one spot and saw your thru your line right there.

I talked to Dave... he has 2 spools of 1000' 170# line at $39/ea

The Splat kite has really long bridles. I got tired of everyone saying that would help it fly and went a bit overboard with them.

If you can grab the bottom bridle lines on a rok that's flying it'll come right down to the ground like a quad if you pull gently on them. I kinda like my ridculously long bridle lines when it comes to getting that thing down.
