Rose, Carl, David, Bill and I have been flying for the last hour in nice winds. There's even a frozen puddle for us to slide on!

I didn't end up getting there until much later (after Karl was gone), but it was still good. Light winds, but pretty smooth out of the east. Chris & Lisa showed up as well. Nice afternoon - thanks to everyone who came out to fly.

Rose and Mike's kites on ice. These were in a slide at the time.

I asked Mike, Rose and Steve to fly near and around my 360 degree camera. The effect is very interesting with such in-control flyers. And believe me, they were flying much closer to the camera than what it appears. Which made it all the better.

I think it might be really cool on shorter lines, like 80's or 40's. I'd like to see some catch-and-throw, or Mikey with his dogstake.

Who was flying the huge, translucent, Portuguese Man-of-War SLK in the upper right of the video? Seriously, though, you should post this on the Kitelife and Rev sites. I think a lot of people would enjoy watching. Great video!

Awesome photos too. The sparkly Steve is really outstanding.

If it had been just 10 degrees warmer .......

Thanks, Mark. Yep shorts lines would be cool. Or imagine a mega-group fly. The entire sky circle filled with kites.

I'll have the camera with me at most IKE flys. So let me know if you'd like me to set it up. Easily done.

I agree with everything Mark said. The part of the video about 3 1/2 minute in where we walk past the camera was pretty cool too.

Except I don't remember standing upside down on the ground in the sky . . . .

Man, that's freaking me out. Pretty cool though. Thanks for shooting it . . . .

Another 360 video from Montrose as Mike flew close to the camera.
Steve was flying his Rev overhead and I was floating mine around also.

This is interesting to me as you can watch the kite flex.

The walking kite in the beginning is especially funny.
