I think it depends on you since you are the visitor. What are your plans?
Oh forgot to mention, I will be there. Will bring Mark since I know he loves the cold wind
. Mark? Mark? Are you There?

I know, cold wind! The weather has been pretty nice lately; makes me grumpy that it's going to be cold this weekend.
I can be there anytime, I'm an early riser and I'm staying near downtown the night before. But if it's going to be cold, it's probably no use getting there too early.

If it was going to be warmer I'd say before noon. But....
That being said I can make it just about any time.

We'll see.
I believe they may have some left. Contact Lolly at revolution if you are interested.
Well, here's one of them, the other file is too big. It is similar to Bill's.

I'm am early morning person so I'll probably drive down to avoid the normal traffic. I don't care how cold it is in the morning . Layering.

We'll lets say the official time is Noon. That'll give it a little time to warm up.
That doesn't stop folks from showing up earlier if they want.
Can I get a final roll call? Who's in?

I'm planning to be there . . . .
Re: Club Fly, Saturday March 28
Aye! Is there a specific spot on the beach you prefer or is it wind dependent?

Roughly the middle is where we've met in the past. There's a bathroom building after the road curves to the left and goes uphill towards an overpass. We've set up near that spot in the past.

You can park on the road for free. I usually park by the bridge.

Right now conditions look to be less than ideal. High of 34F at the lakeshore with light shifting winds mid-day. Input?

Sounds great, TMadz! :) I'll be there!

Above freezing is good.
By the lake, the winds may be more consistent. In consistent light winds I can teach some light wind techniques to those who are interested.
I won't be offended in the least if folks decide the forecast is iffy and don't come. It's a 20 minute drive for me, so I'll be there.

Looks like there is some wind now. There is always some wind by the lake this time of year. Will be leaving in a little while. I can only stay till 2:00 pm.

Wind should be ideal at 6mph NNE. I wish it was at least 10 degrees warmer. I just don't like being miserable while I'm having fun. My blood circulation ain't what it used to be.
Have fun and stay warm. Skip the cookies, this calls for hot chocolate or Irish coffee.

Sorry guys. The wind forecast is supposed to drop to around 2-4mph for the 11-4 window. I would love to learn some light wind techniques and I have a light wind setup, but the length of drive for me for iffy winds... I reserved the date with the wife, but I am feeling the call of some long overdue house maintenance I have.

tmadz, not sure what you're looking at because I'm showing wind currently at 14, and the forecast is for 9 mph all afternoon at Montrose Harbor, IL. You'll be missed; hope you get your maintenance done. I'm going to start down soon / probably be there about 1 pm.
