Winter Kite Flying near Champaign Illinois.

Are there any of you that like to fly kites on through the winter? My goal is to get out at least once a month in Dec through Feb. Dave

When I fist started with Revs I would go out in the cold and fly. It seems the more time goes by the more Fair weather flier I become. But somehow I let people talk me into driving half a day to fly kites in the snow on a frozen lake in Iowa every winter. Come spring I would be happy to meet up and do some flying.

Let me know if you'd like some company.

BTW, the East Side Complex in St. Charles is closed (gated) for the winter.

Don't know if they are closed. I would think O. Breen is not. I may be able to check the status of at least one today.

The Peck Farm Park soccer fields are open. Might have to shag the geese off. I've sent Todd a PM in case he'd like to meet up this afternoon. Or anyone else obviously.

Re: Winter Kite Flying... Geneva, Illinois.

This afternoon at the Athletic Field area at Peck Farm Park. About 48 degrees, mostly sunny and 15 mph SSW winds.

Won't be like this tomorrow.

Jealous Bill. Sun finally showed up. I just finished a crazy two weeks getting ready for year end. Hoping to fly a little tomorrow and lots in the cold for 10 days.

Dave, I live down in Charleston, but I'm a wimp about cold weather flying.
