making the local papers

Postby Frodos Majik » Sat, Jan 13 2007, 07:31 PM

One of the coolness things about this or any hobby is when the reporter comes up and asks "Do you mind if I take some pictures of you and what ever you may be doing?" and then having such said pictures make the paper!!

In case anyone reading this post has not figured it out yet, Yes I made the paper for Sundays addition!! WOO HOO!! :flex: :wohow: :flex: I plugged the club, so it will get a mention too!!

The only way the Beaconfused here in Aurora would give us the time of day is if one of out kites crashed on a car or killed someone...lol

So if you are planning on saving the picture, go to one of the scrapbooking places and buy the stuff to deacidify the newsprint. It will slow down the yellowing. I also laminate the the articles I like at Kinkos. I put up the articles up at work to help explain where I am going away to all the time.

I work for print shop Al, so laminating is on hand anytime. Which is what I did today.

Not famous, just right place/time again. :c8l:

What's the name of the Newspaper?
Do they have it online?
I'd like to read the whole story and transfer it to another Kite club. by the way I belong to "Up, Up and Away Kite Club." (via internet only.)
I see the members once or twice a year, since I go to Seal Beach seldomly.
Congrats...
