IKE Fall Winter Sewing Something Session?
Re: IKE Fall Sewing Something Session?
We can do either Saturday or Sunday, whichever works out for everyone.
Roll Call...Which would you prefer Saturday, January 25th
or
Sunday, January 26th?

At this point, I'd prefer Sunday 1/26, although I might be able to make 1/25 work.
Re: IKE Fall Sewing Something Session?
I think either day is OK for us. We are close so we have it easy.

Plenty of white. Some red & blue. A bit of black.
Edit: Perhaps I was not clear. These are the end rolls of fabric I picked up today for the Fall Winter Sewing Something Session. I think we'll have enough, especially if you like white . . . .

Nice! Some of those look like they have a lot of fabric on them...

I'm not sure yet, because I didn't get a chance to unroll them at the place & I had to leave them downtown at my client's office. I'll try to get them home next week to see how much is on the rolls.
Re: IKE Fall Winter Sewing Something Session?
If you don't mind I will buy the material needed for the kite we are making from you. I would even be willing to do all white. Then I would have a canvas to try my hand at painting again.

Sunday the 26th is best for me. I can do the 25th, but I'd have to leave early. Have plans Saturday evening.

I unrolled the rolls, and there's not very much red or blue on the end rolls. A bit more black. Plenty of white of various types (all pretty light weight - I'm guessing .75 oz).
Re: IKE Fall Winter Sewing Something Session?
Good Morning,
I apologize in advance for this, but we need to reschedule the sew something class from January 26th. Would Sunday, February 23rd work? We can't do the weekend of the February 15th or 16th, or maybe a date in March? What do you all think?
Again, sorry about doing this, but there was no way around it.

Sorry you have a conflict; hope you can take care of whatever is needed.
I think Jeepster is probably the person we need to hear from first, as he's our leader for the class. I'll have to check with my better half to see if we have any conflicts before I can say whether that date works . . .

I have no problem with the 23rd of February. The weekends beyond that date are booked ... don't forget Kite Party is the 8th and 9th of March.
Cheers,
Tom

Well I looked at our schedule. Mikey and I are out for the 23rd. We have a family party that day.

Everything seems so much better when the sky is filled with beautiful colors.

I don't want to leave Steve with all of the ripstop. Maybe if I could get a hold of the plans I could start on my own and check in with Jeepster. I know people have done plenty of online tutorials on Kitebuilder.com right?

I'm fine with that. Although knowing how much (little) I've sewn in the last 35 years, I'd say that the ripstop is pretty safe with me. Not much chance it will disappear. I need an event like this to use it . . . . I have fabric, spars and fittings I bought a couple years ago that still need a sail.
Re: IKE Fall Winter Sewing Something Session?
Thanks Steve. I was more concerned about sticking you with it since you laid out the cash for it. I might have even thought about trying to make a Rok that I've been thinking about forever.

Re: IKE Fall Winter Sewing Something Session?
Big Mike & Jeepster - how about Feb 22nd if Mikey & Shari can't make the 23rd? (I think) both days that weekend are OK for me.
If that doesn't work, the next likely open weekend (for me) is March 22/23.

Re: IKE Fall Winter Sewing Something Session?
Saturday Feb 22 would be fine if Shari and Mikey can make that.
