Getting logged out?

Postby goestoeleven » Sun, Oct 14 2012, 10:05 AM

Is anyone else having problems with staying logged into the forum? I'm getting logged out in between posts and sometimes when switching between different threads. This has been going on for a little while on my laptop (which has a newly built Win7 install using IE9). I've made IKE a member of "trusted sites" but it still happens.

No, I'm not going to switch to a Mac as I need to use a Windows laptop for work. I might try other browsers though. I just want to know if anyone else is having probems.

It seems to happen pretty consistently when I click back to the main Forum Index link.

No such problem here. Using Windoze 7 with Firefox 15.0.1
I decided I needed a signature line, so I wrote this.

It's been happening to me, but over a period of a day. It's been happening with all of my websites. I wasn't sure if my IE browser was setup differently or what it was. I haven't tried Chrome or Firefow, but I will now.

Glad to hear it's not just me. It's happened for me with a couple web sites, but then there are others like gwtwforum that are fine and don't have the same problem. I'm trying Chrome now, and it seems to be working (but I just got a "this page could not load, reload later" message. Maybe it's GoDaddy . . . .

Update - I haven't had any problems with Chrome so far (although it's only been one session).

I am not getting logged off, but the IKE forum is taking much longer to load and browse than other forums. Other sites I normally visit come up in the usual amount of time.

We have a shared server with tons of other websites. Occasionally it slows us down. It usually resolves itself in a few days.

Yep, still having problems . . . in IE. If I use Chrome, it's better. I agree with Mark, it is slower to load than other sites / forums. Hope it resolves itself soon-ish.

Maybe the problem is my 16.6 baud modem?

There's a new version of IE out which I have been using. Perhaps that's the reason I haven't been logged out. It's better than the old version but not as good as Chrome (IMHO).

I've got IE 9. Should be the latest and greatest.
