Sunday would work for me. Champaign is roughly half way between us.
Let's see who else is interested before we pick a place

What are Winter Blues? ...Haven't experienced them! 8-)

So far 5 newbies to the Dark-Side! (All five are New York Snow-birds!) ...including a 12 year old that put me to shame!

See ya/s late May!

I'm interested! Saturday is probably better for me (but I think we watch the weather to determine the day). I might be pushing my luck with Airwaves the following weekend . . . . although I have tentative permission for a day there.

Jynx - I think you are currently a bit far for us to road trip . . . keep up the good newbie work and enjoy your tropical sunshine. You realize if they are from NY you are just sending more recruits into the hands of Rich & Laura! Also, that it's already been up in the 80s up here in the (not so frozen) north?

BY the way Mark, I have a set of 15" handles in red black grain. And I have 13" handles in a few colors. Send me a message or give me a call and we can work it out. I just made a bunch if anyone else is interested.

I may have jumped the gun on this one, I thought both our families were having easter on the same day, but it lookes like I have family stuff both days. I would still be able to fly in the morning for a few hours, just can;t make a day of it. Maybe we can set something up ahead of time on the last weekend in April. If someone still wants to get together for a bit in the AM let me know.

You mean the Easter Bunny stops coming to your house when there isn't any Kids around? This sounds highly suspicious! Next someone is gonna tell me there is no Santa.

It doesn't look like a central Illinois fly is going to happen. Maybe something up north?
You might also consider making a weekend extravaganza and going to the Airwaves Kite festival next week. We've been talking about it here:

So . . . anybody still interested in flying this weekend (for part of a day)? I have flexibility to get out for a bit this weekend (although a whole day might be tougher to pull off with the wife working at least one day & a long honey-do list). I can probably meet anywhere in the Chicago area / western 'burbs.

Actually, let me rephrase that . . . . I will be flying revs at least part of a day (or part of both days) this weekend. Wind looks good both days in my area (western Chicago 'burbs) but with heavier gusts on Sunday afternoon. Post up when/where if you want to get together. Worst case scenario, I think I will be flying for an hour at 3:30 pm in Wayne on Saturday afternoon.

Steve, let's get the Wheaton gig going. I was planning on flying this weekend. I'll meet you at your park, it's Danada right? Let me know.

That sounds good - except it depends on the wind direction. I'm less excited by Danada lately because it's surrounded by bushes and trees, and so you only get smooth wind if the wind is out of the southwest. I might be more inclined to check out your park (Red Hawk?) because I've never been there. Let me check with my wife - if I have to drop off my daughter Saturday morning at 9:30, meeting at 10 am might work out well.
