The more hard-core members are meeting Friday--we'll be out all day.
However, Friday's meeting is further away from WI.

Sorry Banshee. The 26th isn't really an "official" club fly. It's something some of the Chicago folks do each year. Maybe David can give some more info.

We will schedule another fly up closer to you soon. Are there particular days of the week that are usually better for you?

Yeah, I know about the fly, actually an old Sky Liners event. I would have really enjoyed meeting the IKE'rs but right now the fly on the 22nd is a bit too far. It would have been nice. I now that we have a lot of time ahead of us to get together and fly. Maybe we could meet down Kenosha way sometime this Spring or summer.
Well I hope some of the IKE"RS make the Cricket hill fly. That would be cool. The response about flying for an hour was kind of sarcastic, I hope I didn't offend anyone.

No offense taken. The festival in Kenosha is the same day as the Naperville festival (June 2-3).
Maybe we can lure you down to Naperville? How far is that for you?

Mike,
When I first joined the forum I mentioned that the Skyliners used to have fly overs @ Bong. Maybe we could try that, they have camping area's that could accomodate a smal group. BTW how many IKE'rs are going to MAKR? Let's get a count. Everyone who's going say aye.

The Ed Liphardt Memorial Fly like the Skyliners is a pale shadow of its former self. I go because I think it would distress Charlie Sotich if it disappeared completely. I owe Charlie big time for his help over the years I was on the AKA board. So I will head down to Montrose Harbor on Tuesday, to fly a little, but mainly to see a friend who has had a tough year.

We'll be thinking of you all on the 26th. Wish we could be there.

The thing that distresses me the most about Skyliners not being active, is Charlie not having a club. Not that he needs it, really. He's got a lot of kite friends and that is even better then a club, but it's good to know folks are looking out for him.

Amen to that Al. There is no finer guy than Charlie and we all owe him big time. I have a little surprise for you just up this alley when we meet again.
I so miss getting hit up by Pat Sotich with her new Sky Circus pin very year. She was sooo cool.
It really touched my wife when she read on the list of organizers for the MAKR that Pat was listed as angel.

See all of you on the 26th.

Merry Christmas
