Quick Fly December 4 Or 5?

Postby catspaw00 » Mon, Nov 29 2010, 10:54 PM

Hey guys,

Anybody up for a try at Busse Woods or Glenview this weekend? I know itll be cold, and it's even supposed to snow, but I'm going to need a break from writing about philosophy and logic, and I think flying kites will be a good way to do that.

I don't think I can make it :( :(

This weekend is jam packed - son's piano recital, my daughter has a play Saturday (grandparents visiting for piano and play), company xmas party, cub scouts on Sunday . . . . sorry. I might be able to do something on the 11th.

. . . . or maybe the 26th . . . .

Maybe? I have a substantial research paper to write, so it depends how that's looking

Boy! ...What a bunch of die-hards!

...I'll be sitting near the fireplace thinking of you!

You two Evanston-ites should find a place in town to fly. That beach might work, or there's got to be a place on campus.
I haven't adjusted to the cold yet. I'm still grumbling about it. I'll get cabin fever soon enough and then I'll venture out...

I'm still up for some flying, but I'm going to head to Vernon Hills instead. It's my favorite piece of field in these parts, and I get to combine some Jeeping with flying this way (love to drive in the snow, and if I take back roads there I don't have to interact with too many other drivers).

I'm also up for a fly next weekend; my trip to Portland is cancelled, so either day works for me. 8)
