I thought about it, but decided it was too expensive.
Maybe next year in Wildwood (I think it's Wildwood). We could have an IKE Caravan there.

Well OK, then. It's still a year away, but some thoughts:
Wildwood is about a 14 or 15 hour drive from the Chicago area. Depending on how many go, we can caravan in mini-vans or rent a one of those big passenger vans and drive that. My van holds six comfortably, 7 is a little tighter.

There are some multi-bedroom suites/cottages at Wildwood. I stayed in one once that had two bedrooms and a fold-out couch in the living room. We could get a couple of those.

I'm willing to figure out the transportation and do some driving if someone else volunteers to do lodging.

We would need a headcount to get started, and then maybe we can make a refundable deposit on lodging.

Count on taking a weeks vacation to do this.

I would also be game for this!

Perhaps we could look into an RV situation and that would take care of both???

Besides I should probably make it to a convention one of these days :)

I looked into RV's many years ago, and at the time they weren't a cost savings once you figured in gas mileage and overnight parking/camping fees. And there's the hassle of septic tanks and such.
But once we've got a rough head-count, I'll check again.

Has anyone found, or know of, posted (confirmed) dates of the event?

It was on the old AKA site that it was going to be in Wildwood. I can't find any info on the new site.
Maybe when it's fully up and running.
