Club Fly--March 27th

Postby Mike » Fri, Mar 19 2010, 06:16 PM

How about a club fly?
Preference is for Saturday March 27th (edit: [strike]but we can do Sunday March 28th if that's better.[/strike])
At Limestone Park in Kanakakee (click on the Maps link at the top of this page).

[strike]I know there is a festival in Willowbrook on Saturday, but looking at the map it looks like a really small park. But if anyone wants to come to the club fly, and do Willowbrook, we'll just schedule the Club fly for Sunday.[/strike]

So..... who's in?

Have to double check, but I think Shari and I are free both days, we are in either day as long as the weather cooperates. Been itching to fly, wish I could have made it to kite party. Looking forward to it!

I'm pretty well locked into home base from this point forward. See you on the other side.... ;-)
Keep calm, and park it in the pocket

IKE is on Image too!

We should be able to add at least one more Mike, right? Though it sounds like Sunday might work better for Big Mike.

Count the Stephensons in but it would be better for me on Sunday, but I can do either day if we can get more interest for Saturday.

Love to make it, but we're still 1800 miles from home.

Cheers,

I can do Saturday, for sure, and Sunday late-ish in the afternoon (I'm in Mokena until 1:00 or so, but that's pretty close to Kankakee, right??).

-Wendy

(actually, now that I think about it, Sunday might be better for me... that whole Mokena thing working in my favor.........)

Oh, so you noticed? Did you also notice her license plate number at Two Rivers? Kind of explains her driving habits.

i'll probably be able to get out to Limestone Park... Saturday around 10ish or so. The winds are supposed to be pretty good. For Sunday... high winds and a 50% chance of rain!

(Will have to leave around 2 or 3... as we will be going to the WasFest at the Kankakee Fairgrounds. It's a fund raiser for a boy who lost his father at a very young age; lots of fun music and tons of prizes; it's a very cool event.)

The winds were zero to about 20mph up and down this afternoon. But, since today was the fun fly, I went out and flew with you guys. No worries about snagging lines with this many miles between us.

Hope you had as much fun as I did!

Cheers,
Tom
