Even though I was looking forward to it, I'm going to have to miss this after all.

That's too bad, Mike. It's been too long...far too long.
Keep calm, and park it in the pocket

You guys don't make it easy, but I think it's right for me to stay home.
Maybe we can meet up next week at the Sauganash festival.

I'm leaving the house...looks like a chilly one today. Hopefully we'll break 50. The sun is out by my house, if it can stay out downtown that will help.

:clubfly:

Chris and I were there early with, a dual line friend. Flew for 15 minutes and the rain came. Others arrived and we waited out rain in terminal building. Skys cleared and we flew till after 4:00 pm with decent winds. Dual lines are no match for the siren song of the quad and he flew a Rev for a long stretch. Another convert.

At one point we had Wendy and me flying with the 3 experienced pilots. We only managed to bring down four kites at one time.

Nice pics John. I'm sure Jeff will post soon with some KAP pics.

Was a little worried when I arrived at 10:45 am and it was pouring rain.

Turned out to be pretty nice after all. Good wind and some sunshine.

I do believe the darkside has claimed another two line victim.

I'm sorry I had to miss. I had a few hours in the morning but the weather wasn't cooperating. John gave me a couple of weather updates, but by the time it cleared up, it was too late for me to come.

Nice photos John, thanks.
Looks like it was a good afternoon of flying. I'll get out there yet--this is probably the longest I've gone without flying with y'all.

Jeff,

Great KAP pictures. Thanks for posting here and on FLICKR. I commented on two on FLICKER.

I've been thinking about a Rok. Would that be a double hit: Once for battles and once for KAP?

Thanks for posting the pictures, guys. And thanks for all the help - every time I learn a little bit more, and I get a little bit better. Once again, RevJB got my line situation cleared up - sneaky, hidden bridle wrap. Thanks, John!

Great place to fly, too. Not hard to get to, and not terribly hard to get away from - though I think it would be bad on a Bears game day...
