Thunderbird Air Show And Quick Fly

Postby Jynx » Sun, Jul 26 2009, 12:41 AM

SURPRISED :wohow: and elated when Jeff, Susan, and Kayla showed up at the Thunderbird Air Show today at Milwaukee's Veterans Park!

Kayla flew Jeff's Rev for the FIRST TIME... launching it all by herself! :revspin: You GO GIRL! (video to follow)

WonderFUN flying with Jeff, Brett, his nephew Tony, my son Ross, and assorted friends! Not to mention the Thunderbirds as well!

WOW! What a WINDerful day!

That looks pretty cool. Last time I went to the Air Show they made us bring all our kites down before the show.

Hey Jeff, anytime you are flying in town give me a call.

It was quite a spur of the moment thing. We just went up for the show. (I had my kite bag in the car.) We saw that it wasn't too crowded on Veterans Park, and we could see the show from there, so out came the kites!
Keep calm, and park it in the pocket

That's right. Always keep the kites in the car.

Speaking of "you go girl": You should have seen Lauren, John's 10 year old daughter, flying a rev yesterday. She was doing really great!
I'm hoping someone posts some photos over at the club fly thread soon.

Man - now I wish I had a time machine. That looked fantastic (and I love airshows).

Jynx, I have serious kite envy. I've got the Night Rev bookmarked and have been trying to convince myself that a budget is really important and getting one of those isn't really necessary. *grin* Not really convincing myself........

When I get my Rev (really soon now), I'd love to come up and fly in Vet's Park again. :)

Jynx,

Can you post a link for us non-Facebook users to see your pictures? Club album or Flickr?

Sounds like you had a great time.

Hey Jynx, go to your album and grab the public link from the bottom of the page. Anyone can see it via that link.
