Craft Project

Postby prairierose » Tue, Feb 03 2009, 01:33 PM

So, kite flying during the winter it's way too cold for just the 180go baseball cap. Fortunately, this is a problem I can solve:

If I ever have a lot of free time or a lot of work to avoid, I think I have most of the appropriate colors of yarn for the rest of the team...

Thats kwel Rose. I would love to be sporting one if you do the rest of the team colors.
Would pay well for it too.

So how hard was it to crochet the single or double stitches (not sure what you would call it) of yard in for the lettering/numbers?
May Ol Ma Nature never hold her
breath on you.

The whole thing only took me a few days. The lettering is stitched back over after you're done knitting, which works much better than working it into the pattern. Pretty easy, and I think pretty effective.

Rose way cool, if I would have had one of them on that -20F day I might have been able to fly longer then a 1/2 hour. :kid:

Rose,
Awesome Hat! The next time we're at a kite event together, would you consider teaching me how? I've always wanted to learn.

GREAT JOB!

The only thing missing is a bobble on the top.
Better still, a propeller.
