I am in the process of making an item for the AKA auction. It is a spinning bol. It will look something like this.... (Not exactly, but the shape will be the same.)

I have been also working on variations of this kite. I will be teaching this kite at OKR in January. Once at the local level in August, I think. :wink:

Not very proud of the "decoration" on this particular kite, but....It IS a good flying kite! And I like the color of the tail.

Well Ive got one of the Pan flutes done and have the second cut and ready for stitching along with the drones.

Since last time i posted I also made up a 10' wind sock that I let my 4yr old pick the colors and decided to make 2 so the other will get stitched after the panflute gets done.

Next in line is the waffel kite from gerts site.

I learned how to use the sewing machine...and made a couple simple kite sleeves for my daughter's kites for practice.

Now I have to get Rok plans. :-D

We didnt do any thing last yr. It was only talked about. It sounds more promising this time around.

Nice that you learned to use a machine. Lynn showed me a couple of years ago and it has come in sooooooo handy. Not just for making kites, but for making repairs and modifications.

We'll do a Rok class either at my house or somewhere in between north and south. We'll figure it out this winter.
If you can't make it Jeff, we can skype you. Probably can only do one person on Skype and have video though.

There is plenty of room in my new building if we want to use it to get together for some Rok building, if you can find my house in the middle of no ware. :shock:

I've got connections with a local artist that would likely let us use her studio space. She has classes there frequently so there's room.

A Rok Class would be awesome! I think Ill start with a 4' then 6', 8', and hoping to build one in the 16-18' area
