I would say that you plan to make it out to Kite Party 7 next feb. out in sunny Cal. Mux11. It would be a save bet that Jim and Lynne will be there. Aint that right Jim? 8)

Unless something really good, or really bad happens, we'll be there.

One of our most favorite events.

So how's it fly?

Did you get what you expected? Any surprises?

Surprises? Not really. It flies smoother than expected.

It did take longer to make than expected. "Don't try this at home"

Lynn Wins Hand Crafted At WSIKF !

Postby Jim Foster » Thu, Aug 21 2008, 11:31 PM

Well, she did it. Lynn got a first place ribbon for her basket weave "Rev" at WSIKF. After the competition we got them both out and flew them together. Yes, there are two.

Jim,

I looks like the kite that Lynn is holding does not have vented stars ... the original one we watched being made had vented stars. Did she make one kite with vented stars and one with non-vented stars?

Cheers,
Tom

Both kites have vented stars. If the light is coming directly on the front, they do not look like screen. They appear to be solid white.
