Quad City Kite Buggyer! Just Saying Hi

Postby sodfarmkiter » Wed, Apr 02 2008, 04:02 PM

Hello all. I'm new to this site but I've been buggying in Davenport, Ia for about 16 months now. Still looking to find someone close to me that is also a kite freak! Hope to hear from someone. Later All!

There are a lot of kite freaks here on the forum! Not too many buggiers though.
Make sure to check out the Grinnell, IA kite festival in May (link). No power kites there, but lots of duals, quads, and SLKs of all sorts.
There will also be indoor flying--that must be the opposite of power kiting :!:

Welcome!

How does the sod hold up under the buggy? ;-)

Another event that is close to you is Kites Over Lake Storey on May 3-4.
Keep calm, and park it in the pocket

IKE is on Image too!

Welcome Aboard Sodfarmkiter.

Should you be able to make either of the fest listed up above, look for the red shirts with IKE on the back.
For there will be a few of us at both festivals. Come on by and say "Hi".
I for one am going to be at both.

Well I usually only get wild on the fresh cut areas because the grass has a lot of resistance. i haven't gotten comfortable with my harness yet. Now the sod farm is huge and they truck out an acre or two a day, so there is plenty of smooth packed dirt to run on. Image

Hey Sodfarmkiter,

Thats pretty awesome. Looks like you have a huge area to ride which is always a plus.
Here's a picture of my buggy in our playground. Not nearly as green as your area, maybe someday we can both ride in each others backyard. :)
