Al Stark - Dekalb?

Postby kmac » Tue, Apr 29 2008, 01:11 PM

I stumbled across Al Stark, from Dekalb when doing a search on Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/photos/pejnolan/tags/alstark/

Is anybody familiar with him or his work?

Thanks, Ken

I haven't heard of him...but looking at his work, we need to get him into IKE!

I was driving through town one day and nearly cause a pile up when I noticed the window at the art gallery was full of KITES!

They were beautiful, all natural, simple block print designs. Very elegant.

I was thinking he's on IKE, but I'm not sure how active a reader he is.

We got hold of Al for the first DeKalb kite festival in '06 and he came out with some of his paper creations. They were beautiful and really neat to see. I was unable to find his info last year to remind him about coming back. From the pictures, it looks like he hasn't lost his interest in kites

Maybe this year he'll make a comeback!

I have Al's card in my hot little hand, and I'm holding it ransom for a private pm with a please and thank you. Some who are going to convention are interested in taking his kites for the fighter kite fly.

Actually, he outa be going to convention his very own self, and cleaning house with his kites!
