Two Rivers! Kites over Lake Michigan 2015

Postby goestoeleven » Thu, Sep 03 2015, 08:00 PM

Well, it's finally (almost) here. Saturday/Sunday is looking pretty good for kite flying on Neshotah Beach in Two Rivers, WI. Hope to see some of you there! I think we'll have at least six for 180Go! and maybe eight!

See you guys up here. BTW, we usually fly indoor at the Manitowoc holiday inn during the evenings if you are up here. Big open lobby. We're not there yet....

Hope its not too late to ask questions. Since its my first time up there, can we park nearby early or do I have to take the shuttle? It will affect what I plan to bring up with me. I wanted to bring a couple of SLK's as well as maybe a banner or pole. Also, is there an open area for regular fliers? If I end up having too much fun I may just stay the night and come home the next morning. Would love to partake in the night fly.

Get there before 9 and you should get parking really close to the action.

As Mark said, arrive early and you'll find parking. It starts at 11 tomorrow, but we are getting there at 9 am so we can get set up. There's a big kite field for big slks. Banners are fine. I think if you walk a way down the beach you will be able to fly. There's only one performance field this year. No field for practice/club flying which they've had a few years ago.

And... The holiday inn is NOT allowing indoor flying this year. :censored:

Sorry I had to leave before saying goodbye to everyone on Sunday. I stayed as late as possible, made it to the airport and my gate just as boarding started. ;)

Had an awesome time as usual. I love flying with 8. It's like a megafly all the time.
Keep calm, and park it in the pocket

IKE is on Image too!
