This is a new, one-day festival in Green Bay, being produced by Chow Chong of Unique Flying Objects. Yours truly has accepted Chow's invitation to serve as announcer. More information at http://greenbaywi.gov/event/fly-a-kite-kite-fest-2013/.

Yesterday at Grand Haven, someone at "IKE Island" asked if I'll be at the Michigan City fest. Apparently it conflicts with this June 29 Green Bay 'fest, at which I've promised to serve as announcer, so it appears I won't be at Michigan City.

Jynx did some lovely solo Rev. demos at the first ever Fly-a-Kite Festival in Green Bay last Saturday. The patriotic routine was especially popular with the crowd.

The fest went very well ... amazingly so, in fact for a first-time fest. More than 2,200 spectators showed up. Here are some links to press coverage:

Looks like it turned out great. Wish is was just a bit closer. Maybe with the turnout this year they will be able to expand next year!

Tell me about it! It was a seven-hour drive for the lovely wife and me!

The available space was pretty much filled, between the sport kite demo field, SLK exhibition field and public flying field. But the property is not yet fully developed. Word is they plan to put in at least a couple more soccer fields. If that happens by next year, there'd be room to grow!
