To be fair, 180GO! isn't uninvited, we just aren't invited.
We do so many festivals that we like to get a little help when we do a fest; like some gas money or a hotel room. Not every festival can afford that these days. It's 400 miles roundtrip for me to go to Chicago, that's a lot for a one day festival.

It's been several years since I've been to this festival but it is a hoot to see. They have free paper kite making for the kids so you have thousands of kids with huge smiles on their faces, running in every direction trailing their cotton strings and kites.

I don't know the current setup, but the way it used to be, there was an area marked off with orange cones for sport kiters to fly. The orange cones didn't keep all the kids out, so you need to have a good attitude and be ready to have kids running around you when you fly. The times I've flown there, I had a good time though.

I went last year. There A LOT of little kids running around with kites, A LOT. I still had a blast, and plan on going again.

Windy is good. Hope the rain stays away. Unfortunately, I don't think I can make it - kids softball, soccer, and lessons for my daughter means my wife needs me around to be a taxi driver . . . . .

I saw some photos online. Looks like there was a big turnout!
Also, it looked like the field was roped off with caution tape which I bet worked much better than the cones used in the old days.

Well if you saw them on line, then why bother posting,,,,, :-P I had a great time for the brief time I was there. The sun made a cameo and the wind picked up nicely. It was well organized, and I'm glad I went. Now to get jacked for Grand Haven!
