My homemade projects

Postby kristaps » Wed, Mar 11 2015, 06:28 PM

Hi!
I would like to share with my homemade kite videos. In REV power kite video (ice ride)- wind is crappy 6 m/s and dropping to 0 m/s, in gusts it was about 8 m/s then pull was scary for me, because it was my first test flight with driving vehicle (ice skates), never done it before with any kite at all :-) But kite flies very nice and its stable too. I made a measurements that kite have 1,65 square meters, it's small, but in 8 m/s gusts it pulled me with speed at least 30 km/h in short distance. Because of gust it dropped to 0, so maybe if it was a smooth wind 8 m/s in longer distance speed would be faster  One gust pull yo can see in end of the video- the last ride before fotos

In movie three kites- you can see my dual turbo kite, REV and Power REV. With smallest REV, now my skills are bit better, in that video it actually was my second time with evo ever 8-) My camera is rubbish, there are some spots on lens from inside, so don't worry about quality too much. Hope you like videos, and maybe somebody gained impressions to make his own kite projects. Have fun!

I'm wondering if the web server has an issue (and maybe some browsers are blocking it as a result). It showed as an outdated version of Apache when scanned by a site checker, which means it's potentially vulnerable and maybe that's causing it to be blocked. Can you put it on YouTube?

WMV is a format for Windows. It doesn't play on my Mac or iPhone.

I found the links to the youtube videos in the edited first post of this thread.
The ice-kiting looks like a lot of fun!
The other kites seem to fly well, nice work.

Definitely much easier to view on You-Tube. Good looking kites. I can see the amount of power the big one can generate -- awesome.

Thanks for posting the videos.
