WSIKF 2012

Postby goestoeleven » Sat, Jul 07 2012, 11:03 AM

3rd week of August isn't that far away . . . .

Anyone interested in going to WISKF & sharing expenses (i.e. rental car / condo)?

I'm interested if we can get the price of lodging down.

Seems like not much interest this year (other than Mike) . . . I may go anyway, and just camp out and fly Revs nonstop for a few days.

One note - 2013 is the 25th anniversary of Revolution Kites, and there was a suggestion of trying for a 100 Rev mega fly at the 2013 WISKF. Maybe we should plan ahead to 2013 . . .

Sounds like a plan... though the economy hasn't been good for many flyers and getting 100 Revs would be a huge accomplishment, I'd be interested in possibly going again in 2013!

The (64) mega-fly was such an awesome experience... and certainly worth the trip!

I flew in the previous record in England and it was quite an experience, I highly recommend it.
For most people it's hard to get all the time off. But If people are interested in attending *next* year, we could rent a condo and cram a bunch of people in it. Sharing a car/van rental will also help keep the costs down.
Things book up quickly for this festival, most people will book for next year at this years festival. So give it some thought and we'll look into booking early next year.

I think I'd be up for it. I may still go this year, but for less than the full week.
